Skype is a free software that works on Mac and Pc. With Skype you can chat with other people from all over the world. I am chatting with Australians, Austrians, Americans, English, Africans, Chinese, Russians.
You can also voice chat, use it like a phone and if you choose you can even use your webcam and have a video chat.
Send images or documents to each other instead of using email and hoping that the email does not get eaten up by the spamfilters.
